I have loved this movie since I was a child, and have wanted to read the book for years. Sadly, it's been out of print in the UK since the 80s. My wonderful husband sourced a copy from the USA for my birthday and it's wonderful. I've never read a book for the first time that has felt so immediately familiar. It's fantastic.
I've been in such a reading slump the last few months, after reading THE LAST HOUSE ON NEEDLESS STREET it's taken me well over a month to finish my next book, which isn't normal for me.
Found this incredible bit of history on the back of an old pulp SF book while clearing out the office yesterday and I love it so much both ironically and unironically at the same time.
I had to bribe my cat extensively to get this shot, and she wouldn't do any other angles, so you can't even see the gorgeous sprayed edges. She has no appreciation for art.

I treated myself to the hardcover of Wundersmith after my hardcover of Hollowpox arrived and I discovered that they're WORKS OF ART.
