I gained my MA in Publishing from UCL with a distinction, and I was awarded the course prize – the Stevenson Award – for my work as part of the degree. I completed the Publishing Training Centre’s course on Editing Fiction in August 2019.
I currently work as a Junior Editor for Igloo Books, and I have worked with publishers such as Head of Zeus, Gollancz, and Piatkus to provide reader reports on submissions, proofreading services, copy editing, and structural editorial feedback. Alongside this I have also worked with a number of independent authors, primarily on fiction works but also on academic pieces. One of my authors made it to the final round of mentor selection for Pitch Wars 2018 and 2019 with two separate manuscripts.

Hourly rates are worked out based on the length of a text, using the advice from the Society of Editors and Proofreaders guidelines of approximately 10 pages per hour with about 300 words per page. This is dependent on variables such as the state of the manuscript/computer file, the author’s ability to spell, use grammar, amongst other issues.
Please state if there are any particular areas you would like me to look at. You can contact me via the contact page.
With manuscript assessments and feedback on submissions, please be aware that refunds will not be provided if you disagree with the feedback provided, or if you are not successful in attaining an agent. I will be basing my feedback on my experience, however other variables will impact whether your submissions are successful – the agent’s availability, interests, or even current market climate for your genre or subject matter. I will give you advice to make your submission as good as it can be, and help you to avoid common mistakes to make you more competitive.
